Is it hard to meditate?

Some of the people who start meditating may find themselves struggling, bored of it, or don’t get any experience that they expect to have. The main reason that causes those problems may come from the lack of understanding of the true meaning of meditation. And focusing too much on the method of meditation rather than the comprehension of the core of meditation.

Meditation is resting both our body and our mind. We tend to value the health of our bodies but ignore taking care of our minds. Making your mind grow heavier and heavier as time passes without any rest until its collapse.

Our mind is really strong it could control our body to do what we want. So, if you have a strong mind you could achieve many things, but if you have a weak mind it could lead you to many problems such as lazy, angry, or depressed.

Two things you should have when meditate

In order for us to have a strong mind. It should have enough rest by doing nothing but that is the tricky one. Because, by the nature of our minds, it is distracting, restless, hard to keep in one place, and hard to control. So, when you try to still your mind you cannot do it by force but we have to use a softer method to deal with it.

Meditation is that method. When we meditate, there are two things that we should have from the beginning to the end. The first is relaxation and the second is the focus. Relaxation is the state in which one mind feels empty, vast or content which what they have and is all right with doing nothing. You may recall those feeling after hard exercise, during your shower, or before falling asleep. Focus is the soft feeling that you realize or acknowledge something like when you look at the sky. You are not paying attention to any particular cloud but you enjoy the wide view of the blue sky. It is the same when you meditate you focus on things softly.

If you have those two things from the beginning to the end of the session, no matter what method you use, you are meditating in the right way. And you would be reward from it by calmness, peaceful and happiness
