Resilience in Bloom: On 14 March 2026, the Cape Town Meditation Centre was filled with the vibrant energy of teenage learners from Grades 10 and 11. The workshop, focused on mental resilience and gratitude, provided a sanctuary for students to step away from academic pressure and into a space of self-care.
We spent three hours with a brilliant group learners, diving into ๐ป๐๐ ๐ด๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ด๐๐๐๐๐๐๐: Stretching for Study Stress, ๐ป๐๐ ๐ฎ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ ๐ณ๐๐, ๐ป๐๐ ๐จ๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ญ๐๐๐๐, learning focus techniques, and practicing ๐ด๐๐ ๐ ๐๐ ๐พ๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐. Seeing these young leaders embrace stillness was truly powerful.
We are incredibly proud to have collaborated with NATURE CONNECT – the Conservation Leadership Project for this event. Their dedication to fostering well-rounded, conscious leaders is evident in the quality and engagement of the students they support.
The physical component of the day was a highlight, thanks to Mr. Michael OโRourke from Prana Love Yoga. Michael facilitated a specialized “Mindful Movement” session designed to combat study stress. By teaching the learners how to use yoga to release physical tension, he provided them with a practical tool they can use throughout the school year.
Huge thank you to our incredible volunteer team! Thank you for being such an essential part of the Cape Town Meditation Centre family. ๐
Thank you to everyone involved for making mental health a priority.
